Sandra creates a truly peaceful environment through the practice of yoga, healing both the body and the mind from the stresses of New York life.
I always leave the hour of yoga with a physical and mental calm, feeling fully refreshed and newly alive.
A teacher myself (of music), I greatly respect how aware Sandra is of each persons individual needs.
I practice what I've learned almost every day... I'll do yoga for the rest of my life, both for my physical and mental well being.

I have had other personal trainers at the top gyms in New York, but JJ's knowledge of exercises that not only build strength but improve balance and agility as well is extraordinary. I have found that his intense study of various balance and strength-based exercise methods and his affiliation with world renowned teachers makes him unusually good at providing training that gives me outstanding results that I notice in my day-to-day life at work, around the house and during leisure time. It has truly impacted my life very positively. short

During my training with JJ i found his philosophy to be more about strengthening within.He incorporates techniques that improved my balance and flexibility.He also uses core exercises that only true martial artists know about but shares them in a way i was able to use them myself.It's almost the Anti-workout because i have felt rested after some of the sessions.However, all of my sport performances and fitness levels have improved.He can always see when I'm ready to try something new from his arsenal which keeps it exciting! short

I trained with JJ for about 8 months in 2008-2009. From the very first introductory session, I could sense JJ had a special gift as a trainer. I interviewed several trainers and JJ stood out as much better than the others.
JJ is very knowledgeable about different types of movement philosophies such as martial arts, yoga, calisthenics, as well as weightlifting, on top of which is his familiarity with other modalities such as massage, Reiki, aromatherapy and others. As such, he is able to provide a rounded and complete approach to physical training and well-being, which spills over into enhancing mental and spiritual health.
JJ’s biggest gift to his clients is his extraordinary intuition into what the client needs, what the client’s limits are, and his patience in gently, constantly pushing the client right up to, but not past the client’s capacity.
I felt about as good as I ever have after several months of steady training with JJ. I wholeheartedly recommend him. short

Our harried tester tries to unwind with a combo of Reiki, hypnosis, meditation and more.
One toddler, an apartment under construction, and 89 unread emails. That's what our tester was up against when we sent her to try out a Taoist therapy session with mind-body trainer James John. He has successfuly soothed Diddy and Donna Karan, but how did she fare?
He turned the ki. John positioned her limbs, hips, back and neck for optimal relaxation. He then worked Reiki magic by applying gentle pressure with his palms to different areas of her body to spark her energy. It felt like light massage.
She got good vibes. John used shamanic sound therapy with deep vibrational tones to help get the cells moving in our tester's body. "At first, I was uncomfortable and wanted to giggle. But then, I gave in and just let the sounds wash over me," our tester confesses.
What renovations? Yes, over the course of her 60-minute session, our tester's worries had waned. "Afterwards, I felt utterly relaxed, like I had escaped," she says.
